Signs of spring

DSC_0089Spread out through our neighborhood.

DSC_0015 DSC_0014The Mason Bees are coming out and searching for new homes.

DSC_0018 IMG_0841 The skies are blue, at times.

IMG_0842The rhubarb from our dear friends is liking its new place much better.  Yes!

IMG_0843 The mint is also liking this new place…

IMG_0849 IMG_0850 Our Rosemary is growing and blooming… I love this stage.

IMG_0889 Clematis.

IMG_0890 (Who knew this Clematis grows baseballs… like most of our yard does I guess!)

IMG_0944 IMG_0882 IMG_0883Blue Bells.

IMG_0945 Magnolia.

IMG_0888 Dandelion.

IMG_0954 IMG_0958 IMG_0961 IMG_0963 IMG_0966Camelias.

IMG_0999 IMG_0993 The ferns are unswirling.

IMG_1001 The Hydrangea is growing new leaves.

IMG_1008 IMG_1006 The apple tree is starting to bloom some colors. This is the time that is the pinkest… then they turn pale pink, almost white.

IMG_1021 IMG_1042 Callas.

IMG_1012 Our grapes are blooming.  We’ll have to figure out how to manage them this year.

IMG_0990 The place where both apple trees get together in our rather small backyard… we can still see the sky, until they grow leaves and when summer comes, it’s the perfect refuge from the hot sun.

IMG_1044 Moss growing and still green.

IMG_1035 Lilacs.

IMG_1016 IMG_1017

These last two, a beautiful present from our neighbors.  They’ve done the work to plant them and grow them in their backyard, and I feel lucky we reap the benefits of their hard work… enjoying the beautiful color and flowers when everything else is just starting to wake up.

Yes, I think spring is here.
