this week in my kitchen :: blog hop

I’m playing along with Heather from Beauty That Moves sharing photos of our kitchen this week.

“A weekly collection of photos from the center of my home.”

DSC_0053-smallBaguette, because we are going to go try the real thing in few weeks.

DSC_0004-smallTwo fruits I could live on all summer long.  Mmm… plus watermelon.

DSC_0291-smallThroat soothing tea for our teacher at home who got a cold few weeks ago and has lost his voice since then.  Just until tomorrow though.  That is it for the (school) year.  Phew!

DSC_0287-smallThe applesauce cake because he had lost his voice (he said the cake makes him feel better, right?), and we had fresh berries, and we celebrated Father’s Day last weekend.  That’s a whole lot more reasons than last time!

Hi Erin. Sorry I forgot to link it. Now I did. I make it a little different, with a mix of whole wheat and regular flour instead. Enjoy!

Great week. I’m with you on the fruit, it is so refreshing and I am eating as much as I can while it’s in season. Now if the figs would just hurry up 🙂

Hi Amanda. It is Shukshuka, from the book “Breakfast for Dinner” by Lindsay Landis. It’s actually so easy to make, that it always looks like the picture! 🙂 Love it too!
      Thanks for stopping by.

Everything looks so delicious! And I love that cooking is a collaborative family effort.

Loving that photo of teamwork in the kitchen!

Everything looks wonderful, but I especially like the “people” photos. Nothing better than getting everybody involved in the cooking or baking or adding herbs for that matter. 😉

Yes, I love seeing them cook and bake together and when everyone gets involved. Those are the best foods ever! Thanks for coming to visit.

Our cherry tree is full of fruit not quite ripe enough yet though. Like you they have to be one of my all time favourite fruits. Your baked eggs look delicious. Are you off to France for real baguettes…I hope that you have an amazing time and that teacher feels much better.

    • NaturallyFunDays : Marcela June 12, 2014 / 4:17 pm

Thank you Debby. Yes, we’ll be tasting “real baguettes” and all that French foods that look oh so good, this summer. We are excited! (to say the least 🙂
Maybe without having to teach all day, his voice will finally come back.
