spring has sprung

The shadows are getting shorter.  The days are getting longer.  It is amazing how the days and daylight changes within months, in this part of the world.  We are actually measuring the shadows, since last December, and it’s fun to see how much they’ve shorten in just short few months.

The bleeding hearts that we planted last year in our little special corner of flowers, have grown so much already.

The glass mushrooms Siena made last year look so cute in the cleaned flower bed.  I think we should make a few more.

And this is how it looks this week.

This is the spring color, the spring sight I will always remember.  Our beautiful, huge, I don’t know how many decades old, blooming dogwood is what makes spring for me.

What beautiful pictures… your Spring is about 1 month ahead of ours : The buds on our lilacs are barely swelling. May I ask what type of rosemary you have? I’ve NEVER seen mine bloom before!

Hello. Thank you! I am sure your spring will arrive too. Right? 🙂 I really don’t know what type of Rosemary it is. We’ve had it for maybe 15 years. I do not remember, sorry. But I am sure if you go to a nursery they could tell you what type it would be. Thanks for stopping by!

Hola Mama. Ese arbol es el arbol grande, al lado de la casa, en el patio, al lado del porton. Pero solo florece por un par de semanas en abril. En el otono tiene las hojas amarillas o cafe… tienen que venir en otra epoca para que lo vengan a ver.
