Every year, we go see the Christmas ships the evening the city has the Solstice Bonfire.  But this year, because Siena had a swim meet over both days last weekend, we were not sure if we were going to be able to go to the Solstice Party, so we decided to head down to the river by our house instead.

I wish I had taken my tripod.

It was fun.  But I think I enjoy going the other night, with the Solstice Bonfire celebration, down at the other park.

With this huge fire, warming up everyone around that day.  Reminding us, that yes, at 4:30 pm it’s dark already, and the longest night is upon us.

And the boats go by.  And again, I wished I would have taken the tripod.
