The light and the big sky

Something amazing that distracted me from the scorching heat (for a little while at least) while in Idaho last week, is the light.  Mark always talks about missing the openness of it all.  The big sky.  Not having many trees around and the lack of city lights, makes the sky and the night, a show on itself.

One evening I kept track of the light.  Here are photos of the sky for us to remember.

This reminds me of my dream of some day going to the north pole to see the Aurora Borealis.  Some day.

No need to go to North Pole. Come to Canada, up North in Whitehorse or Dawson City. Spectacular!
