Visitors feeling at home

We have squirrels that come to our backyard like it’s their own, forever.  They love our apples, they like the peanuts, corn and other squirrel foods we leave them in the front.  And they also love some of our other things we forget outside.

Last year one day, Siena forgot a skein of yarn in our porch and the next morning we see a squirrel up on the tree carrying the skein all over, jumping from branch to branch.  It had decorated the tree, lots of branches!

This time, it was a couple of days ago.  I was in the kitchen and I see a squirrel on the edge of the fence.

I had noticed our flags in the play house were getting signs of wear.

I guess it wasn’t the weather.

Our friend has been really trying to take these flags to his (her?) nest I think.  Our flags have holes and tears everywhere!

And after this session of photos… our bunting is much shorter!

And probably decorating our squirrel’s nest.

Thanks for sharing. Our squirrels usually just steal our tomatoes, so it was nice to hear about their less gluttonous antics.

Oh Funny! They are also taking our apples… but we have more than we can eat… probably unlike your tomatoes! But the flags were really funny to watch.
