The other day we had some friends over and as summers go around my house, we had gotten up not before they came over to play. It wasn’t long when one of them said aloud “I’m hungry I need a snack!”
My ‘mom brain’ started thinking what I could make quickly so it wouldn’t get too close to lunch, and maybe I should just bring lunch out sooner, timing it with when our friends would go back home, you know, all the little pieces in a day. Maybe some of you do that too, a lot of thinking and figuring out how meals will work in the day, with the rest of our activities and such.
When all of a sudden it got very quiet. Few minutes later one of them came asking for a bowl. I wondered what they were doing. Then they asked for olive oil and salt.
This is what they prepared themselves for snack, picked by them from our gardens.
I love it! I think if I had suggested to have a green salad for snack, I don’t think it would have gone very well… what do you think?
