The day has come.
The day when Siena (mostly) wanted her own room. A place she can decorate without having to give and take, a place she can keep as organized as she wants to without asking her brother to help.
A place where Lucas can keep his toys where he wants to and not have to put them away or out of his sister’s way. They each have their room now.
They’ve shared one room for many years. From when Lucas was old enough he knew he wanted to share a big kid room with his sister. They had the extra room as a play room and the place where we had the extra futon for guests.
Now they each have their place.
Lucas now on the top bed of the bunk bed, rearranging the shelf and walls to have his things.
Siena is back in the room where she had her crib and her little kid’s bed, many years ago. Now, she’s back but this time with a twin size bed, a real mattress and a room she can call her own.
Lucas was excited to see her happy to get her own space. He was sad to see her move next door though. He says he misses her, being right above him in the bunk bed… but I hear them talking at night before going to sleep. And I hear them say good nights and love yous as they did before. Just now, a little louder so they can hear each other.
Just a door away. But a space of their own.

¿¿ …. y nosotros ??…… ( bromas) ya están más grandes y cada uno quiere su espacio ….. cariños y que lo pasen bien en su ” nuevo hogar ” .
Ossley would love a bunkmate. Maybe we can borrow Lucas from time to time.
Hi Amy Jo. I think Lucas would love to bunk-share with Ossley!
Big changes but I think they are both getting used to and enjoying their new space upstairs. You’ll have to come and check it out! What about a playdate soon?
BIG CHANGE!!! What happened to The CIty?????
Hi Glendie. Yes, big changes here in the house. The City is under Lucas’s bed and throughout his bedroom and closet. They are having fun recreating it I think. You’ll have to come and see it!
What a good idea! It is nice that you have the space to give them their own space.
Hi Twisted CInderella. Yes, it is nice they can have their little space of their own. And it’s been fun to see them rearrange and make it their own. Thanks for stopping by in this “my” little space! Have a good day!
