Our library system has a few passes for our local Children’s Museum. Granted there’s way more people putting it on hold than there are passes to go around fast, we were able to check it out last week, after waiting for it for a year.
Funny. We hadn’t been here in probably over 3 years. Siena thought it wasn’t going to be as much fun as it used to be. And well, Lucas, didn’t remember much of the place.
So even on a beautiful, but very cold, day we headed that way.
They were the oldest kids there, because most kids this age are in school, but they still had fun. I’m glad we went.

Waiting a year is kind of annoying! Clackamas County Libraries and Washington County Libraries both have cultural passes for the Portland Children’s Museum. I have never requested one at a WA library and found it unavailable, and friends who use Ledding Library tell me the same thing. I think it’s maybe a combination of having more of them and not allowing them to be reserved very far ahead of time? If you have a card from one library system you are welcome to get one for the others.
Hi Laura. Yes I know they have passes too. It’s that our local branch is so convenient and we had no hurry to get the pass really. We go when we get it. I think when my kids were younger it felt more urgent to get it quicker. This time we knew and we were keeping track how long it took. A very long time! But thanks for the reminder of the other library systems. I keep saying we should go check them out more.
