right now : 12.12.12

It’s almost mid December, and I try to stay here, today, because there is so much to stay here for.  Right now I am:

:: sad for what happened yesterday here in Portland.  I’m thinking of the families who had to witness those horrendous minutes, and those who were injured and killed.

:: heavy in my heart.

:: scared of a world sometimes seems too crazy.

:: loving my family and wanting to keep them very close by.

:: wanting a world in peace and a place where my kids can look up to the sky and close their eyes, without ever worrying.

:: hoping for peace.  Everywhere.  Everyone.

:: in love…

:: thinking that today, is a special day.  The last of these funny and very special dates.  At least for a while…. a very long while!  December 12, 2012.  12.12.12.  Loved to write that!

:: thinking it would be funny to remember to pay attention when it’s 12:12 pm too!

:: loving Siena’s and Lucas’s tree up in the playroom, in their city.  With lights, music and Nutcrackers, ready to start the music with their band.

:: looking forward to going to the Nutcracker.

:: enjoying having our tree in our living room.  Our home is not very big, and the tree takes most of the living space downstairs… there is no way we can not pay attention, but it’s so lovely, and makes me happy.

:: so happy where I’m at… I love this time of the year.

:: thankful for hand me downs, and thankful for our friends who share them.

:: enjoying the geese flying by.  I love hearing them.

:: having fun studying Native Americans with Lucas and Siena.

:: happy of our day spent at the Winter Faire selling our goods.  Siena and I had a lot of fun and sold quite a few things.

:: loving that we don’t have a TV to get bombarded by with all the things we should need. Any time, but especially this time of year.

:: smiling at the memories of this past weekend driving up to the mountain to find the right tree for Christmas.  Lucas and Siena wanting to find snow so bad, but we there wasn’t any.  We stopped in a spot with some white spots around, and they made the most of it…

:: happy with our tree, as uneven as it is, it is the perfect tree for us.

:: wishing for a snow day… can I, please?  One day (or to or three…) when we wake up to all white outside… or I guess it could be the middle of the day!  We would love to see it come down!

:: enjoying Siena’s and Lucas’s playing, listening their conversations and how their play evolves.  You should hear all the things Evel Knievel has been doing!  So much fun.

:: dreaming and planning of all the things I’ll be making in the next week…

:: feeling like I don’t have a lot of time for planning anymore, and should get making.
