Wildernest Nature Resort : Goa

Sunday, November 27, 2011.  We are in Goa, southern India.  We’ve been in India for 3 1/2 months now and this is the first time I’ve heard silence. Complete silence.  Actually you can hear lots of birds and insects, but it’s beautiful sounds.  No cars, or people yelling or singing, or motorcycles zooming by, no dogs barking.  Nothing.  Complete nothing-ness.  And now we are here.

This is the view from our porch and window.

All the cottages have names of flowers. Sayali was our place.  Not sure which plant it is.

To our cottage we went down.

Natural shampoo and soap.

This is all we heard.

Wildernest Nature Resort it’s more beautiful than you see it here.

This place was built about 5 ot 7 years ago by a man who is mercantile marine.  His father had bought the land many years ago.  They have kept this place as a beautiful ecosystem, which is in the limit of three states in southern India: Goa, Karnataka and Maharasthra. It’s a beautiful green space I hope it stays this way for a long time.  The world needs it.

Julie, it was a really beautiful place and we are so glad we found it. We really needed to be out of doors for a while and be able to just be and enjoy ourselves. Enjoy nature, the swimming pool, the birds, the hikes, the meals, and not have to worry about anything! Except that the monkeys don’t eat your food… a fun and new thing to worry if you ask me!
