“India is the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend, and the great grandmother of tradition.
… nothing has been left undone, either by man or nature, to make India the most extraordinary country that the sun visits on his rounds.”
– Mark Twain
As I read and look through books on India, I think of where we are going to live in the next 5 months. Of the people we’ll meet. The places we’ll visit. Of all the history we’ll be surrounded by. It still all seems like a dream.
I think of the day we see the Taj Mahal for the first time. Having talked so much about it. The beauty, the story. And finally what does it feel to be in front of (or surrounded by) one of the ‘Wonders of the World’?
I love listening the stories from friends, and videos, and reading books. Everybody has their own stories. Their trips have been amazing in so many ways and we wonder what it will be like for us.
Now, we are getting ready for ours. Our trip is about to begin but our adventure has already begun.
